Year 2: Music

May 24, 2024
This half term, Year 2 have been studying Reggae music. Our pupils can now name the style indicators of Reggae music, such as it's laid back feel, slow tempo and the importance of the drums, bass guitar and electric organ. Over the course of this topic, Year 2 have learnt to sing a Reggae song called Zootime written by Joanna Mangona.

This week, the children composed their own song lyrics, choosing to either re-write Zootime or re-write Twinkle Twinkle Little Star based on our Science topic of plants or our History topic of Women in History. We were very impressed with the results!
