Hall Mead Band Visit

May 24, 2024
On Thursday morning, we had a visit from some talented Hall Mead students and their music teacher Mr Wells. The students ranged from Year 7-10 and played a range of instruments. The first two musical performances were two girl bands showing what they had learnt in their Year 7 to 9 music lessons. The children even had a quick taster session in drums, stamping to emulate the kick drum and using their hands crossed over to imagine the snare drum. The next performances ranged from musical theatre to an ex-Hacton student singing to the ukulele. To round off the morning's excitement, the children watched a performance from the Year 10 rock band.

Our pupils thoroughly enjoyed experiencing live music, with one of our Reception pupils declaring it as 'the best show ever!' A special thanks to the Music Department at Hall Mead for such an enjoyable and exciting experience.
