Year 2: DT

May 23, 2024
On Monday, the children became chefs and made their own pizzas!

Over the past few weeks, the children have been taste testing different breads and toppings to find their favourite ingredients to design their perfect pizza. With Italian music playing and chef hats and aprons at the ready, the children came into the restaurant and after following the hygiene rules, set about making their pizzas. They were given tomatoes, peppers, carrots, sweetcorn, spinach and cheese as well as chicken, ham and tuna as their protein choice. The children then had to chop, peel, slice and grate their ingredients to create their pizza which they did sensibly and carefully.

Once baked, they were delivered fresh to the children in pizza boxes and everyone tucked in with delight!

'Delizioso!'
