Year 5: WW1 Trench Building

October 04, 2021

Year 5 took part in a fascinating and immersive day, where WW1 was brought to life. The children got to experience the tiresome (and sometimes rain soaked) activity of digging a trench and had the chance to experience what a gas attack on No Man's Land may have looked like. We also discovered that we have some expert grenade (tennis ball) throwers!

Our afternoon was spent being amazed by all the artefacts that Mr Weaver, from the 10th Essex Living History Group, brought in to show us.
