Year 2: Music

October 04, 2021

Year 2 have been learning 'London’s Burning' during their music lessons. We have already learnt some  important music terminology such as 'dynamics' and 'tempo'.

Dynamics refers to how loud or quietly something is played and the tempo relates to how fast or slow the music is. We have experimented with both terms using our voices and enjoyed learning to sing in a 'round'.

Year 2 have had the opportunity to look at the glockenspiels for the first time. We understand that the letters on each key are musical notes and musical notation helps us to play and read music.

We're looking forward to learning how to play 'London's Burning' over the next few weeks.
