Year 6: Healthy Eating

January 20, 2022

On Wednesday, Year 6 were lucky enough to have a visit from two of the school nurses to discuss healthy living options. All children listened carefully and participated in the discussion at the end: they were keen to see how much nutritional value certain food products hold.

The three focus points of discussion were choosing appropriate, healthy snacks; eating appropriate portions for mealtimes and ensuring children move/ exercise for 60 minutes per day (this includes during breaktime, lunchtime and PE lessons).

All children are up for the challenge and many children, who have school dinners, have said they will start using the salad bar more.
