Year 1: Science

January 21, 2022

This week, to aid their understanding of winter weather, the children took part in a scientific experiment. Two bears were frozen in water overnight so two giant ice cubes were formed. On Wednesday morning, the children examined the ice. The red teddy was then left inside in the warm and the blue teddy was left outside in the cold.

Using their skills of observation, the children noticed how the ice containing the red teddy melted because it was warmer inside whereas the cold winter weather meant the blue teddy melted at a much slower pace.
