Year 4: Science

January 24, 2022

Year 4 have been learning about sound and how sound waves travel to our ears so that we can hear. The children experimented with different types of materials to see which ones were the best for muffling sound.

We investigated and it was clear that the jumper was the best at muffling sound as the sound waves were absorbed into the thick and dense material. The least effective material for muffling sound was the kitchen roll.
