In History, Year 5 have been studying World War 1. Last week, we focused on what life was like for soldiers in the trenches and the struggles they faced in the harsh conditions. From trench foot to shell shock, from letters home to loved ones and rats the size of cats, we were lost for words when we discovered what the brave soldiers had endured, especially whilst fighting a war! We then used all of the information we had gathered to create a ‘soldier’s scrapbook’ of their time in the trenches and would love to share with you some of what we created!
