Year 2 Geography: Balloon Globes

May 21, 2021

Year Two's Geography topic this term is taking them on whistle-stop tour of the World. They will be learning about the continents, oceans, mountain ranges and countries that surround the equator.

To introduce this important theme, we gave the children the exciting opportunity of working in teams to make their own balloon globe. They used an atlas to locate and colour the continents and then carefully stuck them on their balloon. They then labelled the five oceans of the world gently and correctly.

This was such a fun afternoon, which gave the children an opportunity for some much missed teamwork!

Luckily, only one globe popped!

A great introduction to our Wonderful World.
