Year 1: Music

This half-term in Music, Year 1 have been learning to play the chime bars. The children have started to think about how to hold the beater correctly in order to get the most effective sound from the chime bars. They've experimented with different pitches and have even started to compose their own rhythms. They learnt the call "What's your name friend?" and had to compose their own answer on the chime bars using their name to help create their rhythm.
