P-HIC: Audiology

May 23, 2022

The children in our P-HIC often have to attend Audiology Clinics to check their hearing levels, reprogram hearing aids and to get new mould impressions made.

This half term we were delighted to have a visit from Sannah Khan, a Senior Paediatric Audiologist from NELFT, NHS Foundation Trust. She was able to check all the children’s hearing aids and take mould impressions for those who needed them. The children had fun watching their friends have mould impressions (something they would not normally experience) and choosing their new mould colours without their parents! Even some of the staff were able to have impressions made which gave them an insight into what the children have to go through each time they have them done.
