P-HIC and Year 6: Safer Travelling

May 19, 2022

Yesterday, 15 of our Year 6 and P-HIC pupils participated in a 'Safer Travel for All' scheme to help start to prepare them for travelling more independently.

As part of the training, our children travelled on a bus where police officers acted out different situations that they could face when travelling. For example, personal safety, stranger danger and anti-social behaviour. The children were given some top tips on how to travel safely, cross the road with care and how to use their Oyster pass correctly.

This experience was thoroughly enjoyed by all involved and the children now feel more confident in knowing how to travel safely.
