Combining both their DT and Science topics, Year 6 loved exploring about electrical circuits. Provided with all of the necessary tools, (wires, battery packs, bulbs and a motor) they were left to explore how they could get a motor to operate in a circuit. They then had to explain how they could transfer the motion of the motor to the moving parts of a fairground ride. As part of the challenge, the children were asked to explain what happened when the voltage from the power source was changed. Fun was had by all!
