Year 2: Science Club

September 28, 2021

Mrs. Stephenson was excited to be leading a science club for our budding scientists in Year 2. Our theme for our CREST award this week was bubbles! The children were read a story in which the character said, 'that all bubbles were the same shape and size.' The children were then given trays of bubble mixture and a wide range of bubble wands of differing shapes and sizes.

The mission for our scientists was to investigate how to make different shaped bubbles. This was great fun and conclusions were made including 'it depends how quickly you move the wand. If you move it fast, then you will get smaller bubbles.' One scientist said, 'if you blow gently then you will get bigger bubbles.' Some excellent conclusions were made and lots of bubbly fun was had by all!

If you are at home and want to try out the investigation, then do so and test our ideas! Happy experimenting!
