Year 2: 'Starry Night' Paintings

September 27, 2021

Over the past two weeks, Year 2 have been reading, writing, and creating work on the book 'How to Catch a Star' by Oliver Jeffers.

As a finale for the topic, the children were introduced to the work of Vincent Van Gogh and were given the opportunity to recreate one of his famous works 'Starry Night'.
The pupils watched a 'How to draw' video first, sketching the picture before painting it. They thoroughly enjoyed this experience and have created some beautiful pieces of artwork.

You are all superstars! Well done!
