Year 1 Art: Mondrian

October 03, 2019
Year 1 have been learning about the modern artist Mondrian. They used outlines of clothes as a base for creating designs in his distinctive, colourful style. The children have learned about the elements he used in his paintings, including primary colours, rectangles and squares with thick black lines. Their vibrant work is now hung on washing lines, to liven up the classroom.
