The Election: What is a general election?

Over the next few weeks in assemblies, we are learning about an important event which is about to take place in our country: the general election. To begin, we found out what an election is and looked at the different parties who are currently campaigning for votes.

Children have been challenged to look out for the ways different political parties persuade people to vote for them including: leaflets, television broadcasts and billboards.
