To enrich the children's life experiences, we were given a small amount of tickets to attend a performance by The London Symphony Orchestra at The London Barbican Centre. The theme this year was Wish You Were Here which took the children on a musical journey around the world. They listened to a piece of music about Spain, before being taken down the river with another classical piece. Along with lots of other schools, the children got to sing two songs together called Are we Nearly There Yet? and Wish You Were Here. It was a magical experience hearing hundreds of children singing together. The finale was spectacular as the full orchestra played The Star Wars theme which had the children full of awe and wonder.
It was a wonderful day and we hope to take part in more opportunities like this in the future.
