To begin our new book for our Literacy topic 'Flat Stanley', the children had the opportunity to follow a set of instructions to make a kite. They used a plastic bag, dowel rods, string and tape to create their kite, and then added the character Flat Stanley to the front.
Once all the kites were made, the fun really began as the children had the opportunity to fly their kites around the playground. It was a fun experience for all the children and will hopefully inspire creative writing over the next couple of weeks.
