To support the children's learning about Christianity, worship and Bible stories, Year 1 were invited to The Havering Fellowship Church in Newmarket Way. There, the children listened to the Bible story 'The Fishers of Men' where Jesus first called his disciples. They then split into two groups where they took part in a craft activity making a boat with fish attached and they also took part in some music and movement worship. The children learnt about prayer and how Christians use prayer to say thank you, to say sorry and to say please to God to help them.
The lovely ladies at the church then gave each child a goody bag to take home as a thank you for attending and learning more about worship with them.
