This half-term, Year 1 have been learning about different percussion instruments. The children have enjoyed learning different ways to play each of the instruments and have been attempting to learn some of the names of the instruments such as the cabasa and wooden agogo! The children have also put on their composing hats and have been creating different rhythms using the percussion instruments. They have used the words 'frog' and 'tadpole' to help them compose their piece to act as 'crochet' style notes and 'quaver' style notes.
