Year 3: Lambourne End Trip

May 15, 2025
Last week, Year 3 had a wonderful trip to Lambourne End to help to enrich our science and geography work. Firstly, the children took part in an orienteering activity, where they had to follow a map to mark the correct symbols scattered around the working farm. We then had lots of fun pond dipping and minibeast hunting, and impressively, the children were able to follow the classification key to discover what they had found lurking in these habitats! Finally, we had lots of fun sewing new plants and having the chance to smell and taste some different plants that have been grown. We enjoyed eating the flowers as much as the goats enjoyed eating the grass that we fed them!

Thank you for a great day out, Year 3!
