Year 2: Space Dome

February 28, 2022

The children were invited to step into the darkness of Space today as they entered the wonderful world of the stars and planets. Once inside the dome, they were transported into space to witness the Sun, Moon and Earth and learn facts about them. They listened to the Greek story of Lunar and Helios with wonder. The children were then able to see the stars and constellations and learnt about the story of Orion and how to find his starry belt in the night sky.

The children were given a task to write an imaginative story at home about a shape or constellation they can see in the sky at night. The Year 2 team are looking forward to seeing some great pieces of work!

What an 'out of this world' experience it was!
