Year 2: Geography

February 28, 2022

The children have just begun a new Geography topic entitled 'What a Wonderful World'. As an introductory lesson, the children were learning about the seven continents. They learnt the names of them, found them on a map and learnt some key facts about each one. They were then given the fun task of cutting and sticking pictures of the continents on a globe made from a blue balloon. This was an interactive way for the children to use an atlas and use their teamwork skills to complete the task.

Luckily, no globes burst, much to some children's relief!

Well done on a lovely afternoon learning about our world, Year 2!
