Reception: Handa's Surprise

February 04, 2022

Reception have been focusing on the book ‘Handa’s Surprise’ by Eileen Browne.

We have used the book to help us with our numbers, have painted Handa and scenes from the book and have even spelt 'Handa' out of bricks. The children have tried on some patterned clothes and costumes and have been playing instruments along to some African Drumbeats.

Our highlights of the week have been learning an African dance and making African necklaces out of paper plates.
