Year 6 DT: Antarctica

March 08, 2019
During the spring term, Year 6 learnt about Antarctica. In keeping with the theme of the term, the children used their DT skills to design, create and evaluate an Antarctic animal: a penguin! They had to measure and cut several pieces of felt and sew them together. There were plenty of opportunities for problem-solving when things didn't quite go to plan.

The entire process was evaluated looking at what went well and how the process could be improved next time. The fantastic creations now adorn Year 6 display boards. A special thank you to Mrs Marriner for her wisdom and assistance in creating the adorable Antarctic animals.
