After learning about the damaging effect plastic can have on the world when it's not thrown away or recycled, Year 5 knew they had to do something. In DT, they discovered that plastic can get into our oceans and harm sea creatures so they decided to go around the school field and playground picking up litter to help prevent it from polluting our planet. When they investigated the situation around school they found that there was litter hiding all over the place. Our eager environmentalists collected a whole box and bin bag full.
Year 5 would like to encourage everyone in school and beyond to recycle whenever they can. If this isn't possible, please make sure that litter goes in a bin so that it can be disposed of properly. Spread the word to your family and friends!
