Hacton 1 - 1 Langtons

January 28, 2015
The Hacton girl’s football team recently drew 1-1 against Langtons Primary School. Amy, Elsie and Megan (Year 6) have written this report:

The whistle blew. Langtons kicked off with a great start, however, not long after, Maddie tackled them. She made a long pass to Katie who ran through the defenders. Excitement invaded the pitch as Katie had a shot... sadly for Hacton the goalie made an excellent save. All was not lost as Hacton continued to fight for the ball. The whistle blew again meaning a substitution was going to be made: Elsie, Amy and Grace ran onto the pitch. Jade tried hard to defend the shots that were made but one ball rolled in making it 1-0 to Langtons. Amy and Maddie kicked off making a pass to Elsie who ran up the pitch and made a powerful shot which unfortunately did not go in. The Langtons defender stopped the ball from reaching its target, ran down the pitch and tried to score. After a brilliant Hacton save the ball found Alex, who then made a long pass to Amy. She charged up the pitch and kicked it directly at the goal. Frustratingly, it was saved. Luckily, Katie raced down the pitch to get the ball and quickly scored an excellent shot to make the final score 1-1.

Well done girls!
