Road Safety: Cat Ninelives in Deepest Trubble

Walking Forward theatre company visited our school to perform a fun and engaging road safety play. Cat Ninelives in Deepest Trubble told the story of a girl named Cat who received a brand new scooter for her birthday. Cat, along with our Year 1-4 pupils, went on a quest to find out how to be safe on the road. Only the correct answers to the road safety questions would get her back home. A mad professor chose children from the audience to assist in brain measuring and picked Mrs Standen to help. She was delighted to have been chosen. The professor also took quite a shine to Miss Vlasik and invited her for tea after school, much to the amusement of the children. She politely declined his kind offer claiming she had too much marking to do.

This colourful production educated children about cycle safety, pedestrian responsibility and, above all, using common sense. Funny and thoroughly engaging, the play delivered a serious road safety message that our pupils will remember.
