Year 3: Indian Dance Workshop

January 16, 2024
This week, our Year 3 children took part in an Indian dance workshop as part of our Religious Education topic. As we have been learning about Hinduism during our RE sessions, the children had the opportunity to experience first hand the dancing that might take place during celebrations.
The children learnt a mixture of the traditional dances such as Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Kuchipudi, Odissi, Kathakali, Sattriya and created a short routine with the help of the dance teacher. They were overjoyed at the energetic dance style and loved learning how to put the moves together into a routine.
