Year 1: Music

March 18, 2022

This half term, our Year 1 Musicians have been learning about the glockenspiel. The children have learnt how to open the instrument as well as how to hold the beater. We looked at how the notes are different pitches depending on their length. The children then read some basic musical notation and learnt to play 'Rain, Rain Go Away.'

Next week, the children will be learning how to play the glockenspiel in time with a song called 'In the Groove.'
