Year 1: Science and Easter Treat

April 20, 2021

Last half-term, Year 1 worked very hard and particularly enjoyed some outdoor learning experiences. During the last week they completed a range of fun activities. On Monday in Science, the children went on a 'Spring walk' around school where they looked for signs of Spring. They noticed the blossom growing on the trees, the singing birds, the bumble bees and we talked about the changes in weather and daylight. The children were really keen to apply their knowledge from Science the week before, spotting and naming a range of grown and wild flowers, such as daffodils, daisies and dandelions.

On Wednesday they took part in an Easter hunt. The children had to work as a team to ensure all members of the class found a rabbit sticker. They were then able to exchange their sticker for a chocolate treat!
