Safer Internet Day @ Hacton

February 09, 2017
Safer Internet Day 2017 was celebrated globally on 7th February and pupils at Hacton Primary School were keen to get involved. The day offered the opportunity to highlight positive uses of technology and to explore the role we all play in helping to create a better and safer online community. Pupils had enthusiastic discussions about the use of the internet in their classes and looked at the use of images on social media sites. Many children were surprised at how public any image placed online becomes. Finishing the day, children joined together in assembly to remind themselves of the dangers associated with social media with a particular focus on using images carefully.
