Year 5 Visit Stubbers Adventure Centre

June 30, 2014
The clouds parted and the sun shone as the trip to Stubbers Adventure Centre began. Year 5 excitedly awaited the start of the challenges set by the instructors and responded enthusiastically. Paddle-boarding proved extremely popular with children and adults alike, especially as all participants ended up in the lake. After Mr Most managed to climb to the top of the high wall, many pupils pushed themselves to match his achievement - with great success! Archery also proved to be another popular activity and, as Mrs Redgewell remarked, “Who needs Robin Hood and his Merry Men when we have Hacton children!” Finally, our pupils had great fun with the ‘Team Challenge’ activities where they learned not only the value of talking (which they always enjoy) but also listening! During the team challenges, they supported each other well and were, consequently, successful in all tasks.

We would like to say a big thank you to all the parent helpers who either transported pupils or supervised groups. With our beautifully behaved children embracing challenges and displaying superb teamwork, the day was a hugely rewarding experience for all of Year 5.
