Remembering D-Day in Assembly

In assembly today, we learnt about the 70th anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy. We talked about why it is important to be grateful to those who risked or lost their lives serving our country and the lessons we can learn from history. An informative video on the BBC site was watched with interest by our pupils:
