Year 5 had a hands on science lesson this week exploring forces using Newton meters! The children learnt how to measure the force needed to move different objects around the classroom and recorded their results in newtons. They were fascinated to discover how heavier objects required more force and how surface type can affect movement. Working in small groups, everyone showed great teamwork and curiosity as they tested, compared and discussed their findings. It was a fun and practical way to understand how forces work in the world around us!
