On Friday, Hacton launched it's first ever 'Sounds of Legends' day. Whilst we study a range of contemporary and diverse female and male musical artists as part of our assembly entrance music, this day was a day dedicated to legendary classical composers, some of which, have been celebrated for over 300 years!
Each year group studied a different composer, ranging from Johannes Brahms (Reception), Antonio Vivaldi (Year 1), to Scott Joplin (Year 5) and John Williams (Year 6). Every year group was set the challenge of completing a Hacton style Top Trump card about their classical composer and the children had to complete a composition activity based on their composer.
Pupils had a great time exploring and listening to a range of music!
