100% Fabulous

July 20, 2018
Sometimes, adults forget that the things they say in passing are taken very seriously by children. Mr Coombes recently made a rash promise to one of our Year 6 pupils, not realising that he was setting himself up for humiliation.

“I’ve been going to Nail Art club and Mr Coombes said that if I got full marks on my Maths SATs paper, he would let me paint his nails. Guess what? I got full marks! Every answer right! And I got a scaled score of 120 out of 120 in every test. It was a fun reason to work extra hard for my SATs and Mr Coombes looked fabulous with his nails painted!”
