During Science club this week we completed an experiment to find out how different surfaces would affect the speed and distance a car could travel. We used the same car for each trial, but we changed the surface the car was sliding down. This changed the amount of friction acting on the car. We decided that the car needed a small amount of friction so that the wheels would turn, although too much friction would cause the car to slow down. We then split into groups and started racing the cars on our chosen surfaces!
