A well timed ‘Data Handling’ week in Year 5 (top set) Maths meant we were all outside, basking in the glorious sunshine. We are learning about line graphs so we set out to collect accurate data. Firstly, we set up our equipment on the hot surface of the playground and got to work. Measuring, counting and recording enabled us to gather the information we needed for the following lesson. Cooling off in the shade, we compared our findings and calculated the mean averages for our final results. Now we are ready to construct a line graph and we will be able to interpret our data. It was great working together and being in the fresh air, even if we were a little worried about the sun’s rays!
