Our Year 2 children had a monument-al day out when they visited The Monument in London to enhance their learning about the Great Fire of London. Having only seen it in pictures, the children were amazed to see The Monument itself! After climbing the 311 spiral steps to the top, they were able to spot key London landmarks such as St. Paul's Cathedral, The Shard, the River Thames, the Tower of London and Tower Bridge.
