On Wednesday, the Year 2 children took part in our annual Infant Music Festival. The festival is a celebration of music where we were joined by Year 2 pupils from Branfil and St. Joseph's to sing a collection of songs together.
This year, the theme was 'Space' which was extremely apt with the recent Artemis II mission. The children had learnt their own song to perform all about a green alien and there were songs during the festival about gravity, planets and the man in the moon.
We were very lucky to be joined by The Worshipful Mayor of Havering, alongside the Mayoress and a member of the Havering Music School who were all in awe of the children's participation. Ms. Underwood from Havering Music School said in her email, 'It was absolutely AWESOME this morning! Please pass on a MASSIVE well done and congratulations to all the staff and students involved. I loved the Space theme too; there were some great toe-tappers!'
It was a wonderful, joyful experience for the children and adults alike to see the children sing confidently, happily and with great enthusiasm.
