This week, a group of our Year 5 and 6 pupils visited Upminster train station where a special train (Inspiration 200) is currently situated.
The train consisted of three carriages with different activities: carriage one was based on the history of TfL - the children got answer a quiz based on the information they learnt; carriage two involved three interactive activities including building a bridge, a visual sandpit and balancing shapes on a ramp; carriage three revolved around the different careers on the trains - children got to answer questionnaires to see what role would suit them, they saw how thermal body imaging works, played with a static drone and saw how train drivers check with the signal engineers, change direction and how the different people who work on the trains communicate.
We all had a fabulous time!
