Year 5 and 6: Road Safety Workshop

January 08, 2025
This morning, Year 5 and 6 had the opportunity to participate in a Road Safety workshop. The workshop was set up as a road traffic crime scene. The children were given a variety of evidence to try and solve the situation: actual witness, witness recordings, pictures, actual evidence items (helmet, cracked phone, a football and a hi-vis jacket). During the session, the children filled in their incident report form, asked questions, discussed the evidence they had been given and then, to complete the session, they had to identify who they believed to be most at fault.

It was a great, real-life opportunity for the children to identify risks on the road and how you should behave to protect yourself from harm.
