Year 4: British Museum Trip

November 10, 2024

As part of their history topic on the Ancient Egyptians, Year 4 visited the British Museum. They saw the famous Rosetta Stone that provided the key to the modern understanding of Egyptian hieroglyphs, many mummified Egyptian kings and queens, mummified animals and the tools used in the mummification process. The children were also fascinated by Ginger (a naturally preserved man from around 3400 BC) who they have studied in class.

Year 4 thoroughly enjoyed this educational visit and are looking forward to continuing their learning around this topic this half term.
