Year 2: Pizza Express Visit

April 21, 2023

2MP had a fabulous time this week as they ventured out of school to visit Romford Pizza Express. After an enjoyable bus journey on the 193, the children excitedly arrived at Pizza Express and were eager to become mini pizzaiolo's. After learning about food hygiene, they donned their aprons and the very important chef hat to create their own Margarita pizza! The children learnt how to stretch the dough with their fingertips, add the all important tomato base, before finishing off with the creamy mozzarella cheese and a sprinkle of dried oregano.

While their delicious pizzas were cooking, the children enjoyed taking part in a vegetable tasting session and learnt some fun facts about the ingredients used in their pizzas. Once the pizzas were ready to take away, we enjoyed eating them from the box at lunchtime! Delizioso!
