It has been a busy week for Year 1! As part of our Literacy topic, we have been reading Jill Murphy's 'A Quiet Night in'. Not only have the children produced some excellent writing using their finger spaces, they have also visited 'Noun Town'. Year 1 now know that a noun is a naming word for a person, place or thing. They really enjoyed looking at a 'busy' picture and writing down as many nouns as they could, using their phonics to spell the words. Great teamwork skills were used and some of the pairs wrote down more than 20 nouns!
