The sun was shining down on Year 5 as their tennis lessons commenced for this half term. Developing their hand eye coordination, the children began by throwing and catching with both hands, progressing on to using one hand before using their weakest hand to both throw and catch. It wasn’t long before the rackets came out and they had a ‘keepy-uppy’ competition. Finally, they combined hitting and catching skills to see which pair could achieve the highest number of ball deliveries, returns and catches without the ball hitting the ground. After a full Friday afternoon of sporting activity, Year 5 were well and truly ready for a relaxing weekend.
