Year 1 Visit Barnards Farm

May 15, 2014
Year 1 have been learning about sculptures in their Art and Design lessons. To support this, they recently took a trip to Barnards Farm in West Horndon. With over 70 stunning sculptures to explore in beautifully managed gardens, the children had great fun running around while they marvelled at the  spectacular outdoor artworks. Year 1 did a good job of identifying the different materials used to create the sculptures, which tied in well with their current science topic. Barnards Farm is only open to the public on specific days so our pupils were lucky to have had the run of the grounds. It was an amazing trip and the children clearly had a wonderful time.
